EKBIA BOARD

MEMBER BENEFITS

Being a member is automatic if you’re a business within this area - and in a class 5/6 commercial properties. If you’d like to connect as an affiliate member if you’re outside of this district or have a work from home business in East Kamloops, reach out to contact@ekbia.com.. Because your BIA is controlled by you and your business neighbours, it will reflect your priorities.

If you operate a commercial property or business within the East Kamloops BIA boundary, you’re automatically a member. The BIA levy is collected through your property taxes and reinvested directly back into the area.

We cover Valleyview, Dallas and Campbell Creek. You can find a map here. We do not cover Barnhardtvale or Juniper, but businesses from those areas may join as affiliate members.

Attend events. Sign up to our newsletter. Join a committee. Share your ideas. Participate in promotions. Give us your feedback. The BIA works best when members help shape its direction.

Funds are reinvested directly into East Kamloops through marketing campaigns, events, safety initiatives, advocacy work, and area improvements. Financial reporting is presented annually to members at our AGM.

The BIA is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors made up of local business and property owners. The Board sets priorities and ensures accountability.

East Kamloops BIA operates on the traditional and unceded territories of the Secwepemcúl’ecw (Secwépemc) and Nłeʔkepmx Tmíxʷ (Nlaka’pamux)
